Ernakulam St. Mary's Orthodox Cathedral stands as one of the oldest Orthodox churches in the region. Acquiring 28 cents of land in 1922, a small church was erected, and the Holy Qurbana was celebrated on October 6, 1926. The history of the church narrates the tales of struggles and lives of Christians in the region. Despite facing hardships, they clung to the Orthodox faith, nurturing a whole generation passionate about their faith and values. Today, as we continue to be part of this rich tradition, we fondly remember those who preceded us. Without their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts, our journey wouldn't have been the same.
